Job summary

CyberSentriq is seeking a Backend Developer specializing in Go to design, build, and optimize cloud-based cybersecurity applications. You will work cross-functionally to deliver secure features with a focus on reliability and data protection.

Ideal candidates have solid Go experience, REST/gRPC, Kubernetes, and familiarity with AI-enabled development tooling and CI/CD. This role offers hybrid/remote work from Somerset, SA and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Solid Go experience with backend systems.
Experience building RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerised environments.
Experience with messaging/queuing systems (NATS JetStream).
Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) in SaaS.
Familiarity with SCRUM/agile development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Go backend applications with a security mindset.
Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Ops to define requirements and deliver secure features.
Participate in code reviews to ensure security and coding standards.
Troubleshoot complex issues, prioritising security and data integrity.
Stay updated on cybersecurity trends and AI-driven development tooling.
Perform DevOps duties to keep production secure and reliable.
