Job summary

Parvana in Cape Town invites a Senior Back-End / Full Stack Developer to craft scalable backend services with .NET (C#) and align with Vue.js front-ends.

You will lead architecture decisions, optimize SQL Server, mentor engineers, and raise DevOps maturity while collaborating across distributed teams in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

The role targets 10+ years of software development, deep .NET Core expertise, and the ability to communicate trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development with leadership in backend initiatives.
• Advanced expertise in .NET Core / C# for building scalable RESTful Web APIs.
• Strong experience designing distributed, enterprise-grade systems using Clean Architecture and SOLID principles.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server: schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) and mentoring engineers.
• Excellent ability to articulate architectural decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Advanced expertise in .NET Core / C# for building scalable, production-grade RESTful Web APIs.
• Strong experience designing distributed, enterprise-grade systems, applying Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience implementing and optimising CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) and proven ability to mentor engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Excellent skills for articulating architectural decisions, trade-offs, and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
