Qualifications

What you will be doing:

• Design and implement highly scalable backend services using .NET (C#) and optimize SQL Server databases.


• Lead critical system design and architectural decisions, prioritising scalability, reliability, and maintainability.


• Guide the seamless integration design between backend services and client-side Vue.js applications.


• Drive continuous improvement in development practices, elevating code quality, testing standards, and DevOps maturity.


• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, proactively identify technical risks, and formulate mitigation strategies.


• Collaborate across distributed teams, actively participate in code reviews and architectural discussions, and influence the broader technical direction.

What our client is looking for:

• 10+ years in software development with demonstrated ability to lead back-end initiatives and deliver complex, full-stack systems end-to-end.


• Advanced expertise in .NET Core / C# for building scalable, production-grade RESTful Web APIs.


• Strong experience designing distributed, enterprise-grade systems, applying Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns.


• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, indexing, performance tuning, and query optimization.


• Experience implementing and optimising CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps) and proven ability to mentor engineers and conduct technical reviews.


• Excellent skills for articulating architectural decisions, trade-offs, and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


• Exposure to modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js), ETL workflows, cloud-native architecture, performance profiling/monitoring, and the financial/investment domain is a plus.
