Job summary

Network Contracting in South Africa is seeking an experienced Azure Security Engineer and Cybersecurity Specialist for current and future opportunities. The role requires hands-on experience securing Azure infrastructure, monitoring cloud environments, and supporting business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold Microsoft SC-200 or equivalent Azure security certifications and have a recognised cybersecurity qualification.

Qualifications

• A recognised cybersecurity qualification is required.
• Microsoft SC-200 or a relevant Azure security certification is required.
• A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science or a related field is advantageous.
• Additional Microsoft security or information security certifications will be beneficial.
• Hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Experience with Azure security monitoring, threat detection, incident investigation and infrastructure protection.
• Practical experience supporting Azure infrastructure implementation or security projects.
• Exposure to Azure Backup, disaster recovery, restoration and business continuity testing will be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security controls to protect Azure cloud infrastructure and workloads.
• Monitor Azure environments for security threats, vulnerabilities and suspicious activity.
• Support security incident investigation, response and remediation across cloud environments.
• Contribute to backup, restoration and disaster recovery security requirements and testing.
• Work with infrastructure and technical teams to strengthen cloud security, monitoring and protection.
