Job summary

Confluence in Cape Town is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead automation and cloud-first platform transformation. You will design and scale CI/CD pipelines, implement infrastructure as code, and enable developers to deploy and operate systems reliably in a hybrid Azure environment.

You will shape standards, tooling, and practices across infra and development teams, contributing to a major platform modernization effort with enormous impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform essential).
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS also considered).
• Experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Scripting or coding experience (Python, PowerShell or similar).
• Understanding of security, compliance, and deployment practices.
• Comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams.
