Tenth Revolution Group is hiring a Data Engineer for an onsite role in Cape Town, leveraging Azure AI & ML, Azure Analytics, and Azure Data. You will design event-driven architectures, build real-time streaming pipelines, and develop API and serverless integrations to empower data platforms.

The ideal candidate brings 6–7 years of integration engineering experience, strong Kafka and SQL skills, and a solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems, with Azure cloud expertise being

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
6–7 years of experience in integration engineering or middleware development.
Strong hands-on experience with Kafka and SQL.
Experience designing event-driven and microservices architectures.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and messaging patterns.
Experience working in cloud-native Azure environments.

Responsibilities

Design and implement event-driven architectures using Azure Event Hubs and Kafka.
Build and maintain scalable real-time streaming data pipelines.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and performance of streaming platforms.
Define messaging standards, schemas, and integration best practices.
Develop and manage APIs using Azure API Management and build serverless integration services with Azure Functions.
Design RESTful APIs and microservices-based integration solutions.
