Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking an Azure Data Engineer in Johannesburg to design, develop and optimize data pipelines using Azure data services. You will implement scalable ETL processes, ensure data quality, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to deliver insights.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years of hands-on Azure data experience, strong SQL/Python skills, and familiarity with Databricks, Synapse, and Data Factory.

Qualifications

• Azure Data Engineer with 3–4 years of expert level experience.
• Proficient in data analysis and data wrangling using SQL and Python.
• Experience with Azure data services and building robust ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of data warehouse modelling methods (Kimball, dimensional modelling, Data Vault 2.0).
• Experience with deployment pipelines and source control (Git/Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with Azure Purview and data governance practices.
