E-Merge is seeking an experienced data architect in Sandton to design and implement scalable Azure data platforms. You will drive cloud modernization, build robust data models, and champion governance to enable advanced analytics and BI across the organization.

Ideal candidates have extensive Azure expertise, 7+ years in data architecture, and 5+ years in the insurance sector. This permanent hybrid role offers a competitive salary in the Johannesburg area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level IT or Business degree (BCom/BSc or equivalent).
• 7+ years of enterprise data architecture experience.
• 5+ years within the insurance industry.
• Strong Azure data platform expertise.
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud and hybrid solutions.
• Knowledge of POPIA, GDPR, data governance, and security best practices.
• Microsoft/Azure certifications are a bonus.
