Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking an AWS Pre-Sales Consultant to support customers across the MEA region from Johannesburg, South Africa. You will bridge business requirements with technical architecture while driving discovery, solution design, and financial management of cloud projects.

The role emphasizes AWS expertise and FinOps, with hybrid work arrangements and visa-eligible engagement in South Africa. Fluent English is required, Arabic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Qualify AWS opportunities by assessing technical, commercial, and financial viability
• Collaborate with Technical Architects to design cost-effective AWS solutions across Infrastructure, Data & AI, and Application Modernization
• Lead cloud financial management discussions and identify opportunities for cost optimization through architectural improvements and AWS pricing models
• Manage the technical sales lifecycle, including RFP responses, proposal development, and contract discussions
• Deliver executive-level presentations, workshops, and demonstrations focused on business value, ROI, and cloud transformation outcomes
• Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews with an emphasis on cost optimization and long-term customer success

You will bridge business requirements and technical architecture while driving technical discovery, solution design, commercial modeling, and cloud financial management. Your expertise in AWS and FinOps will help customers achieve measurable business and cost outcomes.
