Placements24 seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design and integrate advanced avionics for next-generation aircraft in Centurion. You will drive system requirements, architecture, and interface definitions while leading rigorous HIL testing and verification to meet DO-178C/DO-254 standards.

The role requires a 7+ year background in avionics, strong hardware and software expertise, and familiarity with certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with a specialization in Avionics.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in avionics systems engineering, design, integration, or testing.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace communication and navigation standards (e.g., ARINC, DO-178C, DO-254).
• Experience with simulation tools, test equipment, and avionics debugging techniques.
• Familiarity with aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex avionics systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and monitoring systems.
• Perform system requirements analysis, architecture design, and interface definition for avionics subsystems.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, simulation, and validation of avionics software and hardware components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development, testing, and certification phases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure system compliance and performance.
• Document system designs, test procedures, results, and certification documentation in accordance with industry standards.
