Placements24 seeks an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design, integrate, test, and certify complex avionics systems for next-generation aircraft. You will work in a state-of-the-art Rustenburg facility, contributing to safety and performance improvements in collaboration with a talented team.

You will design architectures, integrate new hardware and software, and perform rigorous test activities, including HIL and flight tests, while ensuring DO-178C/DO-254 compliance in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of avionics systems experience.
• Proficient with avionics buses and flight control concepts.
• Experience with DO-178C/DO-254 certification processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop avionics system architectures including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop avionics system architectures, including communication, navigation, and flight control systems.
• Integrate new avionics hardware and software components into existing and new aircraft platforms.
• Perform system testing and validation, including hardware-in-the-loop simulations and flight testing.
• Develop and document system requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and flight test personnel.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and certification requirements throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in avionics systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of avionic buses (e.g., ARINC 429, ARINC 664), flight control laws, and navigation principles.
• Experience with avionics testing equipment and simulation tools.
• Familiarity with aerospace certification processes (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
