Placements24 is seeking a Senior Aviation Technical Writer in Nelspruit for a hybrid role. You will craft and edit manuals, guides, and service bulletins, collaborating with engineers and product teams to ensure accuracy and clarity.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of aviation writing experience, strong grammar, and proficiency with MadCap Flare, XML, and FrameMaker. Hybrid onsite support is required in Nelspruit.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, with aviation/aerospace focus.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear docs.
- Experience with content management systems and technical writing tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit technical documents including maintenance manuals, user guides, service bulletins, and procedures.
- Collaborate with SMEs across engineering, product development, and operations to gather information.
- Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards, style guides, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the documentation lifecycle from planning to publication.
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository of all technical documentation.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and templates for efficiency and clarity.
