Placements24 is seeking an Aviation Technical Writer to join their remote team, supporting operations from Klerksdorp. You will create, update, and maintain manuals, procedures, and training materials for aviation systems, collaborating virtually with engineering, maintenance, and compliance teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 4 years’ aviation writing experience, with proficiency in MadCap Flare or FrameMaker, and a strong command of English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, technical communication, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer in the aviation industry.
• Proven ability to understand and document complex aircraft systems and related tech.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, and edit technical documentation for aircraft systems and procedures.
• Ensure documentation adheres to FAA/EASA standards and company style guides.
• Collaborate with SMEs across engineering, maintenance, and safety to gather information.
• Manage document revisions and version control using CMS.
• Develop clear instructional materials with diagrams and illustrations.
• Proofread for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.
