Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a major airport operator, is seeking an experienced and proactive Aviation Security Manager to oversee and enhance security operations at their facility in Soweto, Gauteng . This critical role involves developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive security programs to safeguard passengers, staff, assets, and aircraft from threats. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of aviation security regulations, risk management, and security technologies. You will lead a dedicated security team and ensure compliance with national and international security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage airport security policies and procedures.


• Oversee the daily operations of the security department, including access control, screening, and surveillance.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation security regulations (e.g., TCCA, ICAO, SA Civil Aviation Security regulations).


• Conduct security risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.


• Manage and train security personnel, fostering a professional and vigilant workforce.


• Liaise with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on security matters.


• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security technology systems (CCTV, X-ray machines, etc.).

Requirements
