Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of aviation safety experience with a focus on SMS.
• Proven experience in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annex 19, ICAO Doc 9859 (SMS Manual), and national regulations.
• Familiarity with safety performance monitoring and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's SMS.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and analyze safety performance indicators (SPIs) and safety performance targets (SPTs).
• Investigate safety occurrences, incidents, and accidents, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Facilitate safety meetings, risk workshops, and safety action groups.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of personnel.
• Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards (ICAO, SACAA).
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
• Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters and audits.
