Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Ground Operations Supervisor to oversee critical operations at the Vereeniging facility. You will lead ground handling, baggage, ramp services, aircraft marshalling, and passenger movements to ensure safe, efficient aircraft turnarounds.

You will supervise and coach a team, manage resources, and coordinate with airport stakeholders in a dynamic environment, including evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within aviation ground operations or airport management.
• Strong knowledge of airport safety procedures and ramp operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to coach staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of ground handling staff, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
• Oversee aircraft turnaround processes, including baggage handling, fueling, and catering services.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and airport procedures.
• Manage resource allocation, including personnel and equipment, to meet operational demands.
• Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and performance management.
