Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting an Aircraft Ground Operations Supervisor for our East London facility. The role oversees the ground handling team, coordinates turnaround activities, and ensures safe, efficient operations in a busy airport environment.

The ideal candidate has supervisory experience in ground/airport operations, strong leadership, and thorough knowledge of safety regulations. You'll work with flight crews, dispatch, and ATC to keep schedules on track and maintain high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in ground operations or airport ops.
• Solid knowledge of aircraft ground handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Ability to lead and coordinate a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily ground operations staff and ensure safety and procedures.
• Coordinate aircraft turnaround: baggage, cargo, fueling and catering.
• Manage ground support equipment operations and maintenance awareness.
• Liaise with flight crews, dispatch, and air traffic control to minimize delays.
• Conduct safety briefings and ramp inspections; maintain operation records.
