About the Role

Our client, a growing airline operating from Port Elizabeth , is seeking a meticulous and proactive Aviation Compliance Officer. This hybrid role is essential for ensuring that all company operations adhere strictly to the complex web of national and international aviation regulations. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust compliance programs, monitoring regulatory changes, and advising management on compliance risks and strategies. This position requires a sharp legal or regulatory mind, combined with a practical understanding of airline operations. You will play a vital role in safeguarding the company's license to operate and maintaining its reputation for safety and excellence. The role involves a mix of office-based work and on-site assessments, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the airline's compliance monitoring system.
• Track and interpret changes in aviation regulations (SACAA, ICAO, etc.) and assess their impact on company operations.
• Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports accurately and on time.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, facilitating inspections and audits.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees across various departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of South African aviation regulations and international aviation standards.
• Experience in conducting audits and developing compliance frameworks.
