Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prominent aviation services provider, is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Aviation Compliance Officer to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role is essential for ensuring that all operations adhere to the complex web of national and international aviation regulations. You will be responsible for monitoring regulatory changes, developing compliance strategies, conducting internal audits, and providing guidance to operational teams. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance between on-site collaboration and remote administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret aviation regulations, directives, and industry standards relevant to operations. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies. Provide expert guidance and training to staff on compliance matters. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related role. In-depth knowledge of South African and international aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA, EASA, FAA). Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) is highly desirable. Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in audit procedures and risk assessment methodologies. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools. Willingness to travel occasional and adapt work schedule as needed.
