Job summary

A well-established firm in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to support its finance function. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of senior bookkeeping experience and solid knowledge in Sage Pastel and MS Office. This role offers a high level of autonomy, direct collaboration with the owner, and the opportunity to add significant commercial value through insights and efficient processes. Candidates should be comfortable in a hands-on position with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in a senior bookkeeping capacity.
• Confident working across multiple entities or operational divisions.
• Solid knowledge of payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the bookkeeping function through to Trial Balance.
• Preparation of monthly management packs, including income statements.
• Ongoing processing of income and supplier transactions.
