The role involves the full software lifecycle, collaborating with hardware and systems engineers to deliver robust, real-time solutions for infotainment, ADAS, and ECU applications.

Applicants should have a solid background in C/C++ for embedded systems, experience with RTOS, and knowledge of automotive protocols.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, SE, or EE.
• 4+ years embedded software experience in automotive.
• Strong C/C++ in embedded environments.
• RTOS experience (FreeRTOS, QNX, or similar).
• Familiar with CAN, LIN, UDS, DoIP.
• SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Git version control experience.
• AUTOSAR knowledge a plus.
• Legal right to work in South Africa.

Requirements

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, QNX, or similar.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, DoIP).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems.
