You will design and implement software for automotive ECUs using C/C++, MISRA C guidelines, and RTOS, collaborating with hardware and systems engineers across the development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in embedded software, at least 3 in automotive, and strong knowledge of CAN/LIN and Automotive

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Automotive Software Developer to join their advanced R&D team, operating in a remote-first capacity with coordination from Bloemfontein . This position focuses on developing embedded software for next-generation automotive systems, including infotainment, driver assistance, and vehicle control units. You will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and deployment. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust embedded software for automotive ECUs using C/C++.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following automotive industry standards (e.g., MISRA C).

• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to define software requirements and architecture.

Requirements
