Job summary

The Talent Room in Pietermaritzburg offers an automotive sales internship providing hands-on learning from customer engagement to vehicle delivery. Successful candidates will gain exposure to dealership operations, assist with sales functions, and build professional communication and customer service skills.

Interns will support sales consultants, help with vehicle presentations and documentation, and participate in events.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid driver’s licence (non-negotiable).
• Must not have completed a YES Programme previously.
• Currently unemployed.

Responsibilities

• Assist sales consultants with customer enquiries and follow-ups.
• Support vehicle presentations and test drive arrangements.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and leads.
• Assist with preparing sales documentation, quotations, invoices and delivery paperwork.
• Participate in dealership events, activations and promotions.
• Conduct research on vehicle models, pricing and competitor offerings.
• Assist with updating online vehicle listings and marketing content.
• Learn to track and report on performance metrics such as lead conversions and sales targets.
• Provide administrative support to the sales and finance teams.
