Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Mechatronics Engineer to join our client's mechatronics team in Mahikeng, North West. You will design, develop, and validate integrated automotive mechatronic systems spanning mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software domains.

You should have a Master’s degree in a related field and at least 6 years of progressive automotive mechatronics experience, with strong skills in control, embedded systems, and system integration, including

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years in automotive mechatronics with systems integration focus.
Strong understanding of mechanics, control theory, embedded systems and automotive architectures.
Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS, MATLAB/Simulink experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate mechatronic systems including actuators and control units.
Perform system-level analysis, modeling, and simulation to optimize behavior.
Develop and validate control algorithms ensuring performance and safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
Define system requirements, architecture, and interface specs.
Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing and vehicle-level validation.
Maintain technical documentation and stay current with advances.
