Qualifications

Proven experience with automotive electrical/electronic systems.

Strong problem-solving and methodical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair automotive electrical issues including wiring, sensors, actuators and control modules.
Use oscilloscopes, multimeters and software to identify faults.

Interpret wiring diagrams and service bulletins to troubleshoot problems.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Automotive Electrical Systems Technician to join their specialist team in Welkom . This role focuses specifically on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the complex electrical and electronic systems found in modern vehicles. You will be responsible for troubleshooting everything from battery and charging systems to advanced infotainment, navigation, and driver-assistance systems. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and a passion for staying current with evolving automotive electrical technology, contributing to a workshop renowned for its technical expertise and commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive electrical issues, including wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators, and control modules.
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and vehicle-specific software, to identify electrical faults.
Perform installations and repairs of automotive electronic components, including audio systems, alarm systems, and lighting.
Interpret wiring diagrams and technical service bulletins to effectively troubleshoot electrical problems.
Ensure all repairs are performed safely and according to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain accurate records of diagnostic procedures, repairs performed, and parts used.

Requirements

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong focus on electrical and electronic systems.
A recognized qualification in Automotive Electrical or Electronics is highly advantageous.
