Job summary

Placements24 seeks an Automotive Electrician for a service centre in Cape Town. You will diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, including ECUs, wiring, lighting and infotainment, using advanced diagnostic tools.

With a minimum of 4 years in automotive electrical work, you will read schematics, work with CAN/LIN networks, and ensure safety and quality in every repair. Hybrid work options may be available in a collaborative workshop setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Automotive Electrician with recognized credentials.
• 4+ years of experience in automotive electrical systems.
• Proficient with advanced diagnostic tools and oscilloscopes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems (starter motors, alternators, batteries).
• Install, troubleshoot and repair ECUs, sensors, actuators and CAN/LIN networks.
• Diagnose vehicle lighting, comfort electronics and driver-assistance systems.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and service bulletins to identify issues.
• Use electronic diagnostic equipment for fault detection and calibration.
• Document all work performed ensuring safety and manufacturer standards.
