Placements24 is seeking an experienced Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Mahikeng. You will diagnose, maintain and repair diesel engines and related systems across a range of vehicles and diesel-powered equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engine operation, diagnostic tools, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of diesel vehicles.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engine operation, theory and repair.
• Proficiency with diesel diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Experience with various diesel engine manufacturers and models.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and commitment to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative repairs on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines and components as needed.
• Install and repair emission control systems.
