Job summary

Select Motor Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller for our automotive partner in Gauteng. You will inspect rims for defects per SOPs, report faults to management, and assist at the quality station to ensure consistent standards.

The ideal candidate has Matric, 1 year in the motor industry, and a keen eye for quality. You must be reliable, punctual and a team player, maintaining a clean workstation and supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• 1 year experience in the motor industry required.
• Experience in quality, production, wheel/rim or automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good understanding of quality standards and ability to identify rim defects.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rims for bubbles, scratches, paint defects, porosity and other quality issues per SOPs.
• Identify and report faults or defects to management immediately.
• Regularly check stock and consumables at the quality station and report shortages.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workstation at all times.
• Ensure all quality checks are completed accurately and consistently.
• Assist other departments when required by the Operations Manager.
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards and workplace requirements.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by management.

Minimum Requirements
