Job summary

Select Motor Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller to inspect rims and ensure conformity to standards at our Wes-Kaap facility. You will identify defects, manage stock at the quality station, and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification required.
• 1 year minimum experience in the motor industry.
• Experience in a quality, production, wheel/rim or automotive manufacturing environment.
• Ability to identify defects on rims and understand quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and presentable.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
• Quick learner with a proactive approach.
• Resilient, hardworking and willing to assist when required.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Motor Industry experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rims for bubbles, scratches, paint defects, porosity and other quality issues according to required standards and SOPs.
• Identify and report any faults or defects to management immediately.
• Regularly check stock and consumables required at the quality station and report shortages.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workstation at all times.
• Ensure all quality checks are completed accurately and consistently.
• Assist other departments when required and as instructed by the Operations Manager.
• Follow all company procedures, quality standards and workplace requirements.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by management.
