Job summary

Wabtec Company - DotNetix (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to join our team. You will drive system-level testing across cloud, firmware, hardware and software components, with a focus on automation and integration testing within an Agile Scrum environment.

The role requires hands-on coding (Python preferred), building automation frameworks, diagnosing issues, and collaborating with RF, digital electronics and networking teams to ensure reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, IT, CS or computer/electronic engineering.
• Proven experience with system testing and automation development, including hands-on coding.
• Experience with Python and automation tools (e.g., Squish).
• Hands-on in designing automation frameworks and reusable test libraries.
• Knowledge of RF, digital electronics, and networking protocols.
• Experience in Agile Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team.
• Plan, design, create, execute and maintain system-level and automated tests.
• Develop and extend automation frameworks.
• Contribute to testing of cloud, firmware, hardware, and software integrations.
• Troubleshoot and report data; drive delivery of solutions.
