Job summary

SavageOne Pty Ltd in Johannesburg seeks an Automation Test Engineer to design and implement automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing, scripting and executing tests to strengthen the CI/CD pipeline.

Strong experience with Java, Selenium, Cucumber, RestAssured and familiarity with Cards, Payments, and SAP systems, plus solid debugging and teamwork skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and RestAssured.
• Experience with Cards, Payments, and SAP systems.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting of automation scripts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Execute and analyze test scripts to identify defects.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to refine testable requirements.
• Perform performance and load testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Keep automation scripts up-to-date with application changes.
• Document and report test results and provide actionable feedback.
