Job summary

Omnia Holdings seeks a Technical Officer in Gauteng to provide hands-on technical support to explosive accessory assembly plants, drive process improvements, and assist with product development and trials. The role requires a degree in Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronics and relevant experience in automated manufacturing.

The position supports manufacturing efficiency, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and may involve travel to international sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3 years in an automated manufacturing plant (advantageous).
• Six-Sigma certification (advantageous).
• Industrial automation qualification (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical and assembly plant support.
• Ensure manufacturing processes are efficient and compliant.
• Lead process research and optimization projects.
• Participate in product development, trials and evaluation.
• Support training and supervision of staff during trials.
• Drive continuous improvement in plant operations.
