Job summary

Skywaves Rise is seeking an Automation Tester with Playwright and C# expertise for a 12-month engagement in Sandton (Work from office). The role focuses on building robust automated test suites, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring financial software quality in Core Banking contexts.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years in software testing, 5+ years in test automation, and strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET, REST APIs, SQL, and modern testing tools in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Software Testing and QA experience.
• 5+ years of Test Automation experience.
• Strong experience with xUnit/NUnit, C#/.NET, REST API testing, Postman or Bruno, SQL and Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps and Pipelines, and Agile delivery.

Technical Skills & Experience

Essential

• 6 + years’ experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
• 5 + years’ experience in Test Automation.
• Strong experience with:
• xUnit / NUnit
• C#/.NET
• REST API testing
• Postman or Bruno
• SQL and Azure Cosmos DB
• Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
• Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Core Banking Knowledge

• Experience testing Core Banking or Financial Services platforms.
• Finacle experience is highly desirable.
• Experience testing complex integrations, APIs, data migrations and end-to-end banking processes.
• Understanding of financial data integrity, reconciliation and regulatory risk.
