Job summary

Time Personnel in Germiston is seeking an AutoCAD Draughtsman with practical knowledge of signage, materials and manufacturing processes to translate project briefs into production-ready drawings.

You will collaborate with Project Managers on technical drawings, material selection, production planning, and job costing, while resolving technical challenges. The role requires travel between sites and a hands-on approach to maintenance tasks as part of the team.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (essential).
• Proven experience in general maintenance or handyman work.
• Strong practical skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience supervising or leading a small team is advantageous.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Involves travel between sites.
• Requires physical labour and occasional work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general maintenance and repairs across residential and commercial properties.
• Perform hands‑on tasks including fixing cupboards, repairing taps, addressing leaks, and identifying water damage.
• Inspect roofs and carry out minor roof‑related maintenance (must be comfortable working at heights).
• Troubleshoot and resolve day‑to‑day maintenance issues efficiently.
• Supervise and manage two maintenance team members.
• Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs or larger projects.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed timeously and to a high standard.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
• Conduct routine inspections to proactively identify potential issues.
