Job summary

Westline Staffing Solutions is seeking a Parts Buyer in Stellenbosch to source, purchase and manage automotive parts for repairs and maintenance. You will identify parts needs, select reliable suppliers, negotiate prices and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining detailed records.

You will also manage inventory, control costs, and nurture strong supplier relationships, collaborating with the workshop and service teams.

Qualifications

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is required.
• Basic to intermediate Excel knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with automotive parts procurement is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts needs by reviewing repair orders and job cards.
• Source and purchase parts from qualified suppliers and obtain quotes.
• Place and track purchase orders ensuring timely delivery and accurate records.
• Control purchasing costs and look for discounts to stay within budget.
• Collaborate with workshop, service advisors and other departments; keep stakeholders updated.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting parts upon delivery and managing supplier performance.
