Job summary

Placement Point (Pty) Ltd in Durbanville, a well-established audit and accounting firm, is seeking an Audit Senior to join our team. You will manage client engagements, supervise staff, and ensure work complies with firm and professional standards.

The ideal candidate has completed an accounting degree, with SAICA articles preferred. CA(SA) or AGA(SA) credentials are a plus, and exposure to audits, independent reviews, and tax calculations will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain an own client base across audits, independent reviews, compilations and certain individual tax calculations.
• Plan, perform and finalise engagements; prepare working papers, supporting schedules and annual financial statements; liaise directly with clients; manage deadlines and workload; ensure work is accurate and in line with firm and professional standards; and provide guidance to junior staff where required.
• Candidates who have not yet had exposure to every aspect of the role may still be considered if they have a solid foundation and are willing to learn and grow into the responsibilities.
