Job summary

SydSen Recruit is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a professional audit team in Bellville. You will assist with planning, execution and completion of audit and independent review engagements while supervising trainees.

The successful candidate has completed SAICA Articles and holds a relevant undergraduate degree, with strong CaseWare Working Papers experience and solid communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Must have completed SAICA Articles.
• SAIPA Articles will not meet the requirement for this role.
• Relevant undergraduate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with audit and independent review engagements from planning through to completion.
• Review and supervise work completed by trainees.
• Train, mentor and develop trainee accountants.
• Assist Directors with the day-to-day management of clients and engagements.
• Support engagement planning, execution and completion.
• Ensure work is completed in line with required standards and deadlines.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors, supervise trainees and play an important role in ensuring engagements are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Manage and assist with audit and independent review engagements from planning through to completion
• Review and supervise work completed by trainees
• Train, mentor and develop trainee accountants
• Assist Directors with the day-to-day management of clients and engagements
• Support engagement planning, execution and completion
• Ensure work is completed in line with required standards and deadlines

Minimum Requirements

• Must have completed SAICA Articles
• SAIPA Articles will not meet the requirement for this role
• Relevant undergraduate degree
• Strong CaseWare Working Papers experience
• Previous experience reviewing or supervising trainee work advantageous
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple engagements
