Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of work experience.
• Registration with ECSA as PrEng or PrTechEng.
• Teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong research in solid-state welding.
• Proven record of supervising honours, MEng and PhD students.
• Published in DHET accredited conferences and/or journals.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and teaching excellence in Mechanical Engineering.
• Lead undergraduate and postgraduate modules with quality assurance.
• Supervise honours, masters and PhD candidates.
• Develop and lead funded research projects and external grants.
• Foster industry collaboration and engagement for societal impact.
• Contribute to curriculum renewal and accreditation readiness.
