Job summary

Amazon Commercial Services (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd is hiring an Associate Account Manager for the 3P Marketplace in Cape Town. You will grow seller businesses by partnering with Amazon, collaborating with sales and product teams to maximize revenue, expand selection, and ensure a top customer experience.

You will manage a pipeline of opportunities, build relationships with sellers, analyze performance, and work with cross-functional teams to drive daily execution in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales or account management experience.
• Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
• Matric / Grade 12 completed.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in prospecting and being the first point of contact with prospective partners.
• Experience in ecommerce or retail is preferred.
• Experience in stakeholder management and dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
• Analytical skills including Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize & manage a pipeline of opportunities to drive seller goals in the Marketplace business.
• Build & nurture relationships with sellers, supporting them to exceed monthly revenue goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve business for all sellers through scalable solutions and support the roll-out of these solutions.
• Perform analyses to understand root causes of seller performance and actions to accelerate growth.
• Manage numerous opportunities concurrently and serve as primary point of contact.
• Handle seller queries timeously.
• Build up a working knowledge of business levers and tools to accelerate seller growth on the store.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to drive daily execution of tasks.

As an Account Manager you will work with online sellers to grow and expand their business by partnering with Amazon. You will collaborate with sales and product teams to maximize revenue generation across various product families, identifying opportunities to increase selection, driving feature adoption, monitoring seller’s healthy growth, product quality, as well as working with sellers to achieve our standard and delivering the best e-commerce experience for customers on Amazon. Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment, you will be responsible for delivering business and financial objectives.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of sales or account management experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
• Matric / Grade 12
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in prospecting, qualifying, and being the first point of contact with prospective partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within e-commerce or Retail fields
• Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
