Job summary

OVK - Oos Vrystaat Kaap Bedryf Beperk is seeking a Distribution Centre Supervisor to support the DC Manager with strong, visible warehouse oversight. You will ensure that picking, checking, packing and loading activities are executed accurately and on schedule.

The role requires Grade 12 plus a logistics related certificate or diploma and at least three years in a warehouse or distribution setting with supervisory exposure. Valid driving license and willingness to work shifts are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Grade 12; an appropriate certificate or diploma in logistics, warehousing or supervision is recommended.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or distribution environment with supervisory exposure.
• Practical knowledge of picking, packing, loading, inventory control, and inventory survey processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the DC manager in executing the operational plan and observe when necessary.
• Maintain visible supervision on the warehouse floor and coordinate daily work assignment.
• Issue approved pick lists and control the flow of picking, checking and loading activities.
• Ensure loads and inventory are picked, accurate, and on time.

Kern Doel Van Die Pos

Om die Distribusiesentrumbestuurder te ondersteun en deur sterk, sigbare toesig op die pakhuisvloer te verseker dat voorraad akkuraat en betyds gepluk, gekontroleer, gepak en volgens die roeteskedule versend word.

Minimum Vereistes

• Graad 12; ’n toepaslike sertifikaat of diploma in logistiek, pakhuishouding of toesighouding is ’n aanbeveling;
• Minstens 3 jaar toepaslike ondervinding in ’n pakhuis- of verspreidingsomgewing, met toesighoudende blootstelling;
• Praktiese kennis van pluk-, pak-, laai-, voorraadbeheer- en voorraadopnameprosesse;
• Ondervinding met roeteskedules, terugsendings en prestasiebeheer is ‘n aanbeveling;
• Kennis van veilige pakhuispraktyke en beroepsgesondheid en veiligheid is ‘n aanbeveling;
• Rekenaarvaardigheid en ervaring met voorraad- of pakhuisstelsels;
• Geldige rybewys en bereidwilligheid om skofte of verlengde ure te werk waar nodig;

Verantwoordelikhede

• Ondersteun die DC-bestuurder met die uitvoering van die operasionele plan en neem waar wanneer nodig;
• Handhaaf sigbare toesig op die pakhuisvloer en koördineer daaglikse werkstoewysing;
• Reik goedgekeurde "pick-lys" uit en beheer die vloei van "pick"-, kontrole- en laaiaktiwiteite;
• Verseker dat vragte en voorraad volledig, akkuraat en betyds "ge-pick" en gereedgestel word;
• Monitor dat voertuie volgens die vasgestelde roeteskedule en afsnytye vertrek;
• Kontroleer dat voorraad in die korrekte ligging, hoeveelheid en volgens veilige stapelpraktyke gepak word;
• Koördineer siklustellings en voorraadopnames en rapporteer verskille onmiddellik;
• Beheer terugsendings, beskadigde voorraad, karantynvoorraad en vloeradministrasie volgens prosedure;
• Dwing veiligheids-, netheids- en huishoudingstandaarde af en eskaleer operasionele risiko’s.

• Experience with route schedules, returns, and performance control is a recommendation;
• Knowledge of safe warehouse practices and occupational health and safety is a recommendation;
• Computer proficiency and experience with inventory or warehouse systems;
• Valid driver's license and willingness to work shifts or extended hours where necessary;

• Enforce safety, cleanliness, and housekeeping standards and elevate operational risks.
