Job description

Game Lodge is seeking a proactive and experienced AssistantMaintenance Manager to help the Manager oversee all lodge maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work in a small team of maintenance staff to ensure the lodge and guest facilities are safe, functional, and of the highest standard.

Maintenance Operations
  • Assist with all aspects of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Ensure all systems (water, power, irrigation, sewage, etc.) are fully operational at all times.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of maintenance tools, materials, and spare parts.
  • Ensure all guest areas, lodges, and facilities are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and all departments to minimize disruptions to guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably in lodges, hotels, or resorts.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in a remote lodge environment.
