Job summary

Rheinmetall is seeking an Assistant Magazine Master to support day-to-day magazine operations and administration at our Somerset West site. You will manage stock receipts, issue processes, and ERP record updates, ensuring dispatch of explosives and ammunition in line with orders and safety policies.

The role requires 5+ years in ERP/MRP/MPS in manufacturing, explosives storage knowledge, and strong numeracy, time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate or NQF4 qualification.
• 5+ years in ERP/MRP/MPS within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of explosive storage facility management.
• Valid Code 8 and PDP driver’s license; forklift license.
• Strong numerical, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Conflict management and client relations skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced computer literacy (SAP and Excel) will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the magazine master in day-to-day running of magazines and admin duties.
• Control stock receipts and issue per Explosives Act.
• Update records in SAP ERP system.
• Control and dispatch explosives and ammunition per order to meet business plan (OHSACT).
• Ensure safe handling and stacking of explosives and ammunition per OHSACT and SHE policy.
• Adhere to Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and ISO/SHE/Quality standards.
