Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager for a luxury safari camp in Hoedspruit. The role supports the Lodge Manager in daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high service standards.

Candidates should have prior lodge or safari camp management experience in a luxury environment, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage teams across departments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations during assigned shifts and manage staff across departments
• Support the Lodge Manager in operational planning and execution
• Ensure high levels of guest service and handle guest feedback professionally
• Supervise housekeeping, food & beverage, and front-of-house teams during duty periods
• Maintain health, safety, and compliance standards across the camp
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management
• Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment
• Handle administrative duties, including reporting and shift documentation
• Act as the camp’s point of contact in the Lodge Manager’s absence

Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager – Luxury Safari Camp, Hoedspruit Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 Negotiable DOE | Live-in

Position Overview

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Assistant Lodge Manager / Duty Manager for a luxury safari camp in Hoedspruit. The successful candidate will support the Lodge Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high operational standards across the camp.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations during assigned shifts and manage staff across departments
• Support the Lodge Manager in operational planning and execution
• Ensure high levels of guest service and handle guest feedback professionally
