Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Planner to join a professional financial planning environment and provide strong administrative, research and client support to the financial planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a financial services, finance, investments or related background who enjoys working with clients, documentation and detail and wants to develop their career within financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of client financial planning documentation

• Provide administrative and research support to the Financial Planner

• Assist with client records, quotations, applications and follow-up correspondence

• Maintain accurate and confidential client information

• Assist with day-to-day client service and financial planning administration

• Liaise professionally with clients and assist with queries and follow-ups

• Ensure documentation and records are maintained accurately and efficiently

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Finance, Investments, Economics or a related field advantageous

• Previous experience within financial services, financial planning, investments or a similar environment advantageous

• Strong administrative and organisational skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Professional written and verbal communication skills

• Fluent in Afrikaans and English

• Good computer literacy

• Professional, well presented and confident when dealing with clients

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

What We're Looking For:

• We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised, detail orientated and eager to build a career within the financial planning environment.

Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
