Job summary

Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Housekeeping Department leadership. The role focuses on maintaining five‑star cleanliness standards across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.

You will supervise daily operations, lead the housekeeping team, conduct inspections, manage stock, and ensure service excellence while aligning with our safety, quality and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric completed.
• Hospitality or Housekeeping qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years housekeeping supervisory experience in 4- or 5-star hotels.
• Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, standards and procedures.
• Opera PMS experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Allocate duties and manage daily staff deployment.
• Monitor team productivity, attendance and performance standards.
• Support training, coaching and development of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure departmental procedures and service standards are maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure five-star cleanliness and presentation.
