Job summary

Howland Recruiting is assisting a new start-up salon in Cape Town to recruit an experienced Assistant Beauty House Manager. The role targets a South African citizen with at least 1 year in beauty, including braids, haircare and skincare, plus leadership and strong admin skills.

The successful candidate will support daily salon operations, manage schedules, stock, and bookings, and help with marketing initiatives while ensuring high standards of service.

Qualifications

• ITEC accredited qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a salon/beauty clinic.
• South African citizenship required.
• Knowledge of beauty products, including braids, haircare and skincare.
• Management experience is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, administrative and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership capabilities.
• Computer literacy: MS Office and booking systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily management of the salon.
• Assist the House Manager.
• Coordinate staff schedules, attendance and performance.
• Manage stock control and re-ordering.
• Ensure the studio is clean and meets H&S standards at all times.
• Handle client queries and bookings.
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as requested by Manager.

Working Hours
