Job summary

Howland Recruiting is seeking an experienced Receptionist for a new start-up salon in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be a SA citizen with at least 1 year in the beauty industry and fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–16:00, with weekends off. You will greet clients, manage bookings, assist with queries, take stock, and handle payments while supporting marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Qualification in beauty industry (advantage)
• At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Admin skills
• Computer proficiency: MS Office, Outlook, Booking software
• SA citizen
• Able to communicate in both English and Afrikaans

Responsibilities

• Receive clients upon arrival
• Inform therapist of client’s arrival
• Offer refreshments
• Manage bookings / reminders of bookings
• Assist with client queries
• Conduct stock takes
• Process payments via cash or card
• Participate in marketing and promotional activities
