Job summary

ZealHR is assisting a Bellville-based legal firm in recruiting a Candidate Attorney to join the litigation team. The role offers exposure to RAF claims and a structured path to complete articles of clerkship.

The successful candidate will gain practical experience in litigation matters, including RAF, while developing professional legal skills under supervision. LLB is required and SA articles eligibility is essential.

Qualifications

• LLB degree required or in progress
• Eligible to complete articles of clerkship in South Africa
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Genuine interest in litigation and RAF experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with litigation and RAF-related matters
• Conduct legal research and assist with preparing legal documents
• Draft correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents under supervision
• Assist with preparation of matters for court
• Attend consultations, court proceedings and meetings where required
• Communicate with clients, advocates and other legal professionals
• Maintain and organise legal files and case documentation
• Provide general administrative and legal support to the team
