Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited is seeking a Dispensary Manager Trainee for Woodlands Store to assist in managing the dispensary and self-medication area, supervising staff, and delivering pharmaceutical care. You will be accountable for patient needs and stock control while maintaining excellent customer service.

Role requires SAPC registration, pharmacy qualification, and supervision experience. The position emphasizes leadership, compliance, and stock management in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric and BPharm or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• 2–5 years pharmaceutical experience; Unisolv experience; staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Act in accordance with SAPC rules and regulations.
• Safeguard and safekeeping of schedule 6 medication including records.
• Ensure staff work within SAPC scope of practice.
• Ensure Good Pharmacy Practice rules are adhered to by all employees.
• Ensure SAPC registration and annual fees are updated consistently.
• Protect patient information as per POPIA.
• Accurately capture and interpret script details and verify patient information.
• Provide accurate dispensing instructions and counsel patients.
• Manage dispensary stock to minimize shrinkage and handle expiry stock.
• Lead and develop the dispensary team to achieve service excellence.
