Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science.
• N2 or N3 Engineering qualification.
• Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal) in Fitting or Fitting and Turning.
• 2-5 years' experience in a maintenance environment as a qualified Artisan.
• Experience with motors and pumps.
• Experience performing planned preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Exposure to fault finding, equipment reliability improvement and shutdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, systems, motors and pumps.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance and strategic maintenance activities.
• Conduct maintenance inspections and provide feedback to improve reliability and performance.
• Perform shutdown maintenance safely and on schedule.
• Apply advanced fault-finding techniques to diagnose equipment issues.
• Support MTBF targets through effective maintenance execution.
• Monitor, report and investigate equipment downtime and incidents.
• Assist in spare parts management and procurement support.
• Maintain quality control and PPM QA reviews.
• Coordinate and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure adherence to OHSA and safety standards.
• Drive 5S and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams.
• Utilize maintenance systems and job cards for governance.
